We all want to look good and feel great, but that can be difficult until we learn how to lose a fat tummy. Excess fat around our stomach makes things difficult for us. Not only is it difficult to find new clothes, but we feel out of condition.

Fortunately it is fairly easy to turn the tide and start improving our overall health. We often ask ourselves how we can lose a fat tummy, but with a bit of dedication and willpower, we can start to improve ourselves. Firstly we must look at the type of foods we eat and then lose weight on diets that can easily be included in our daily lives. We have to cut down the amount of fat we eat, whether this is from rich home cooked meals or convenience meals.

Things that need to go almost straight away are pastries and cake, fatty meats and sweets of all kinds. By changing our diet over to a lower fat content, we will start to use up the excess calories by losing a fat belly. We should eat lean meats such as chicken (without the skin) and grill meat whenever possible. Whenever we eat steak or similar meats, make sure to cut-off the fat and only eat the leanest cuts.


To lose weights fast, we all need to increase the number of vegetables we eat daily. We need to eat at least five different vegetables or fruit a day to give us a balanced diet. This type of food is also great as part of a calorie controlled diet as they help to fill us up quickly and stop us wanting more food. Drinking water with a meal is also a good idea to eat less and yet feel we’ve eaten enough.

Changing our diet is only part of the solution to getting rid of the fat from a belly. We also need to become more active to burn up excess calories. After many years of a sedentary lifestyle, we simply take in more calories than we can burn off, but increasing the activity will change this. When the body starts burning more calories than we take in through food, the quicker we lose the pounds. It can be dangerous to suddenly start doing strenuous exercise after doing nothing for a long time, so always check with the family doctor and agree an exercise plan.

By making simple changes to our daily activity, the quicker we can lose a fat tummy and other problem areas. Instead of using the car to get a carton of milk or newspaper, take time for a stroll to the shops. Take the dog out (or borrow a neighbors) for a walk and enjoy the experience.


Instead of using the elevator, plan to use the staircase slightly more. A lot of health problems are caused by excess weight, but it can be quite easy to lose a fat tummy by simple, gradual changes to our diet and daily activity. Look good and feel great this summer with simple changes.
